Now that you've been warned...
Omg! What do you guys think of Bismuth so far?! We've only seen a little snippet (what a bold clip reveal for Cartoon Network), but we can already see so much about her!
I don't know how I feel about her design just yet, but she seems like a genuinely nice gem. I can see why she was part of the Rebellion all those years ago with Rose. I can also see her as a leader-type of gem. Maybe new leader of the Crystal Gems?
While we have this information, this also leaves us questions like, why was she kept in Lion's mane? What significance does she hold to Rose Quartz? What type of gem is she? Bismuth isn't exactly a gemstone.

I'm so excited!!! She seems like a really caring person, and I love that!!! Her design is certainly colorful, but it was everything she said and the way she reacted to the others in that small clip that really has me intrigued! <33 I like her a lot already and it was like what, a minute long? Haha
I don't like the idea of her being a new leader though xD Garnet all the way <3 Haha She certainly has a muscley-thicker build. I imagine that must mean something towards what kind of gem she is.
It is interesting to think that Bismuth itself isn't really a gemstone, because neither are Pearls! Maybe Rose Quartz has a soft spot for not-really-gems? Also, I kind of got the feeling that Bismuth and Pearl might be close, and maybe the not-really-gems could be part of that?
She's definitely voiced by Rebecca Sugar, you can hear it clearly.
I already love her, I hope she does okay later in the episode, I wonder how they found her? I'm assuming Steven remembers he saw a gem in there, and then travels inside Lion's mane to get her. Though it could be something bigger that happened.
(Lion is there, and looks pretty consistently shocked, especially since he hardly emotes)

XD yes Garnet all the way - I love her. Bismuth definitely seems like the muscle the Crystal Gems need, which is good. I wonder how Lapis is going to react to her since in her memory flashback, Bismuth was the one that took her ass out. And I wonder how Peridot will react to her...
I do love Bismuth's colors! I'm not in love with her just yet, but I do definitely like her. I smell a match between Bismuth and Jasper!
How do they animate her hair?? As someone who does a lot of animation, I know full and well how hard it is to use so many colors, especially when it overlaps like that!
Im also wondering if this is the Bismuth we saw in Lions mane. It's certainly plausible that that is her, but I'm wondering why she'd be in there to begin with. She's obviously a tough gem if her size is anything to go by so I wouldn't think Rose would feel the need to protect her. Unless she got hurt somehow?
Idk but I'm certainly excited for her! She looks like such a cool character! A new big warrior mom for Steven

Favorite Gem : garnet in general, peridot/amethyst/bismuth/centipeedle if single gems only
~ Her outfit closely resembles a blacksmith’s work apron. “We’re building bases out of wood now? Whose terrible idea was this?” ~ In the real world, bismuth is commonly a byproduct of manufacturing processes, so it makes thematic sense for that to be the gemstone of a construction worker. ~ Forty seconds of footage really isn’t enough to go on, but I get a Gentle Giant vibe from her. That doesn’t mean she can’t fight obviously. We’ve already seen her on the battlefield, but I don’t think that’s her comfort zone.
I was totally thinking Bismuth's apron looked like a blacksmiths!!! And yeah the fact she's wondering about the material the base is made out of, it makes so much sense!! I like it

Well that was completely unexpected. Not in a bad way, mind. And obviously this blows my thoughts on it being too soon to release a new character.I do look forward to seeing what she brings to the group. She definitely stands out compared to the other Gems we have seen.

Hmmm, she sure looks alot like that one gem that PUNCHED Lapis. It sure would be a shame is Lapis were to recognize her. (Also Yaaaaay another sassy African America gem)
I'm thinking Bismuth was put in Lion's mane to prevent her from being destroyed when she had already fallen. Or perhaps Bismuth was the one lucky gem Rose Quartz found that wasn't destroyed from the final blast from the other Diamonds so Rose decided to keep her in the safest place she could think of. Now why Bismuth returns is still unknown.
Do you think she's going to become a permanent member of our Crystal Gem team or do you think she's going to go off and do her own thing (but still identifying as a Crystal Gem) after a couple of episodes or so?
Ooohhhh if she's a builder, do you think that means she builds like structures and buildings or weapons too? Because I was under the impression that a Gem just summoned their weapon from within their gem but if they had to have them built by a Bismuth that would a really interesting development and look into Gem culture!
I really hope she sticks around! I think she would add a lovely dynamic to the whole group
