This episode, I think, was another good one so far this Summer of Steven. It showed that Steven and Connie had lingering emotions about what happened to them when they were Stevonnie and encountered Kevin, which is important. It shows that discomfort in a situation doesn't just go away or become forgotten. Upsetting circumstances can and do end up staying with us for awhile and I think that was important to show.
I liked how Steven was the one mostly pissed off about any and all Kevin encounters. Steven is really maturing with each passing episode and it's amazing. Kevin is the second character which Steven hates (probably the first Steven says out loud) - and we all know how Steven loves everyone, so there's pretty much no hope for Kevin (and there shouldn't be). It shows how awful of a character Kevin is.
This episode also demonstrates the pitfalls of being hung up on a situation for the wrong reasons, too. Steven and Connie (mostly Steven) ended up obsessing over Kevin and wanting to get him back somehow, which is a dangerous game. It can lead to a growth of negativity within a person and alter their characteristics and behaviour. I can understand where Steven was coming from whole heartedly - I'm sure we all can - and Rebecca Sugar and her crew gave us an important message: remaining stuck in the past and stuck on the negative can be damaging. Easier said than done moving forward, but it's still a lesson that's full of truth.
Though simplistic in storytelling, it is as Rebecca Sugar calls her episodes: dense. It's jammed packed with meanings that need to be explored. It may be above the mind of an 8 year old right now, but at least they're getting the exposure (and we are, too).

I think it shows people really good messages about not holding onto things and how harmful it can be when you do. Look at the situation that Connie and Steven got themselves into?

I agree this episode had a very good message
It's always strange to see Steven so angry. He's usually so happy and forgiving that seeing him hold this vendetta against Kevin threw me off a bit. But I like that the Crew made him to angry with Kevin because it just added to the lesson in letting things go.

A decent 8/10 episode, mainly because of Steven's unprecedented anger towards Kevin.
It was really uncomfortable to watch, for me, mostly because Steven's anger and frustration came off really harsh, and we have never really seen him this way.
But the message that Connie delivered about not letting people get to you is a great one.
Also, Japanese cars! This episode had a big Speed Racer-esque vibe, which I liked a lot.
