| Wooooowwwww!!! What can I say about this episode?! It was so...intense. So good! One of my favourites for SURE!
Pearl singing about losing Rose because Rose fell in love with someone else and not her. Greg recognizing that Pearl was in love with Rose and still is! He understands ("If I were you I'd hate me, too"; "I don't hate you...").
It was brilliance. It was beautiful. There's so much we need to see with Pearl and Rose. Especially when it was confirmed that Rose had feelings for Pearl at one point, too.
We also learn that apparently, Rose had more than one man in her life and that Greg "won" out of them all. Hmmmmm...

| I also felt like, when Steven was playing the piano towards the end for Pearl and Greg, that was Rose singing "both of you love me and I love both of you". It just. It had to be Rose coming through. And the piano was tinted pink. It just, it was. Rose was coming through Steven. This is my headcanon *nods*
Pearl has grown so, so much from that incident with Rainbow Quartz and Mr. Greg. Her character growth is phenomenal! |

| Gotta be honest,I thought the episode was ok,not great. But that may be because I'm not a huge fan of musical episodes in any series as a whole. And I really hope this don't just end the animosity that Pearl feels towards Greg. |

| I am crying right now. This episode was so beautiful and it touched me so deeply that I am literally crying right now. And I don't cry over fictional stuff, at least no literally.
"Both of you love me, and I love both of you." I started bawling. I can't even begin to describe how deep in my soul this touched me. |

| This makes the list as one of my all-time favorite episodes, next to "Rose's Scabbard," and "Sworn to the Sword." Steven Universe, welcome to Broadway! The show tunes were amazing, and I loved Pearl's especially. It has an older flavor to it, pining and wistful. The scene with the hotel valets reminded me of an old Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers film; the whole episode gave off a wonderful sort of cinema ancien vibe, which I really, really, really enjoyed.
The relationship between Greg and Pearl being patched up and made smooth is also a bonus. To see them laugh and smile at each other is a very nice bonus.
I give this episode a solid 10/10. |

I got that vibe too! I ADORE old movies and this episode having that same feel to it made it shoot up to the top of my favorites list So I rewatched a little of it (and cried again because DAMN THAT SONG), but the part where Greg walks out of the room after hearing Pearl and Steven tells Pearl "This is exactly why I brought you.", it really shocked me how grown up he sounded. The fact that he could see there was an ongoing problem splitting them up, and be just sneaky enough to drag her along so that he could attempt to fix them, I think shows JUST how much Steven has grown throughout the show. He's come such a long way and has seen so much that now he has the maturity to bring them together gently at times and forcefully at others, instead of just shoving them together and being all "now hug", which he would have done in earlier seasons. He understands how sensitive of a subject this is for all of them and has the grace to still understand that while it's a hard subject to talk about, it needs to be addressed. And during his song to them, the lyrics talk about how he can see how good of friends they could be if they could just put aside their hurt for a bit and try to understand each other. They both are still grieving and Steven can see that and he knows that probably no one can help them better than each other. Steven's not a little boy anymore. Yes he's still young, but he's matured far beyond his years. |

| Wasn't it wonderful? I spent half the episode with tears in my eyes. Pearl's song? Beautiful and heartbreaking. And the Steven on the piano at the end? I swear I could almost hear Rose singing through him and it got to me. Such amaze. Many emotional.
Character development gives me life. |

| I've still not recovered from this episode. I am listening to It's Over Isn't It? and Both of You Love Me and I Love You over and over You know what's also amazing about this episode? That Steven has the maturity to understand what's going on. He understands that Pearl was in love with his mom. He understands that there's been tension between his father and Pearl because of it. It's amazing. I don't think many kids would act well to another loving their parent. And they certainly wouldn't handle it with such grace and maturity like Steven has done in this episode.

| This is just wow. We know Pearl loves Rose that has never been in question, but it heavily implied that between human males, her and Rose had something going on.
I feel so bad for both of them, but I'm happy that they are beginning to heal. |

This episode really made me so emotional that I just had to sit back and absorb all that just happen. And that song, OH GOD, I had that thing on repeat while playing on Youtube, and I've been playing that song in my head ever since the episode aired. It is just beautifully composed and greatly portrays Pearl's feelings so well! - PearlQuartz17 wrote:

I give this episode a solid 10/10. I felt that vibe as well. I am just a sucker for Broadways and old vintage movies, so this episode really had a lot that I loved packed into one. It's now on my favorites list next to Hit the Diamond, Jailbreak and Sworn to the Sword. |

| It was a really good episode and I love that it showed growth between two characters who haven't always liked each other! |
