Greg Universe Thread

We should probably have a thread here for Greg. How can you not love that guy? He's super sweet, respects women, the gems, his son, and does his best with Steven and having to deal with the gems and the dangers that comes with it.

It's also pretty clear that he doesn't even have a house because he has to support Steven and the gems.

He strikes me as a lonely guy, though. Steven is running around all the time with the gems and doesn't even live with him and he doesn't look to really have any friends :(

So this thread is for Greg and giving him some love as a dad that's trying his best in a situation where we'd all be shrugging and saying "lol I dunno" if we were in his shoes.

I adore Greg! He's such a nicely portrayed father figure in modern animation. Deeply cares about his son and others around him, what a nice guy!

I'm glad they portrayed him the way they did. Men and dad's often get a bad rap especially with the whole "lazy stupid" cliche but his faults are part of his charm and they don't getin the way of him being the best father he can be even if he doesn't have much.

Oh let me count the way I LOVE Greg Universe!

He's adorable for one thing. He's funny, he's caring and compassionate, he loves his son and doesn't hate him for being the reason his wife(?)/partner is gone, he's optimistic and always has a lesson for Steven to learn.

And the most important thing is he fully supports Steven working with the CGs even though it scares the crap out of him. Seriously when Steven told his dad about what happened on Jaspers Homeworld ship? He was seriously panicking about his son being in so much danger. But he kept his cool as much as he could and dealt with it away from Steven so he didn't feel bad. (Although he did feel bad but at no fault of Gregs he's just perceptive lol) He's a perfect example of a supportive father and it makes me love him so much more
