Gems - Steven Universe:
Name: Steven Quartz Universe Race: Human/Gem Hybrid If Gem, Type of Gem: Rose Quartz Age: 14 Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Steven is an optimistic, amicable, outgoing, and carefree boy with a happy-go-lucky attitude. Steven is very kind-hearted, good-natured, and compassionate, something which Pearl notes he has inherited from his mother, and he deeply loves his friends and family. He is friendly toward almost everyone he meets, rarely holds grudges, and is very non-discriminatory, never treating anyone with prejudice, even towards his enemies. No matter the situation, Steven will always go out of his way to support his loved ones, even if it means putting his life on the line, and he will avoid resorting to violence. He would much rather make a compromise and choose reasoning than fighting back. Steven looks up to his caretakers — Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl — and considers them family. He wants to be a great hero just like them, and he is eager to go on adventures with the trio, both to prove his worth and to have fun exploring strange lands. Despite his under-developed magical power and lack of experience, he has proven himself to have much heroic potential through his resourcefulness, optimism, and confidence. While Steven is often prepared to go on adventures at a moment's notice, he has a habit of biting off more than he can chew, requiring the Gems to intervene. While Steven initially retained his childlike innocence and obliviousness to the dangers he is frequently put in, his encounter with Homeworld Gems gave him a new level of seriousness about being a Crystal Gem. His genuine kindness, sincerity and capacity for sympathizing lets him inspire friendship, trust and love from most of the people he meets which enables him to mend others' inner turmoil and reach others who are otherwise closed off, most noticeably in the cases of Peridot and Lapis Lazuli. While Steven is typically amicable and kind-hearted by nature, Steven's enthusiasm and excitability can get out of hand, and he ends up doing more harm than good. When this happens, he can be anywhere betwixt obnoxious, overbearing, and simply rude. Steven tends to let his inhibitions go out the window when doing something theatrical, his alter-ego Tiger Millionaire being the best example of Steven letting his passionate side get the better of him. Gem Weapon: Sword and Shield Gem Special Abilities: Healing, Minor Shape-shifting, Enhanced Strength, Speed, and Durability, Resistance to Gem Weapons, Shield Proficiency, Phytoanimation (create plant life), Bubble Shield, Empathic Telepathy (mind jumping), Levitation.
- Pearl:
Name: Pearl Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Pearl (Imperfect Oval Pearl) Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Pearl is a perfectionist knowledgeable on a plethora ouf topics that values organizations. Pearl has a penchant for symmetry and a high attention to details. Despite her perfectionism and occasional bragging, Pearl suffers from low self-esteem. Without anyone to tell her what to do or to depend on her, Pearl feels lost without meaning or value. Pearl admits she often feels extremely weak and/or useless when compared to others who appear better than her, going so far as to describe herself as ineffective on her own; always in need of a leader she can follow. Her self-destructive behavior stems from the Homeworld caste values, where pearls are viewed as property rather than Gems. Pearl is easily flustered and overwhelmed when confronted by the unknown or when her plans fail, which can lead to her judgement being clouded or cause her to act on impulse instead of rational thinking. Her inner turmoil over her love for Rose (and her subsequent absence) has made Pearl lash out at Steven more than once. Her fierce desire to feel "strong" and have more victories as a Crystal Gem even caused her to betray Garnet's trust and basic principles so they could keep forming Sardonyx. When realizing how much she hurt others, Pearl will apologize and try as hard as she can to set things right, working hard to counteract the damage she may have inflicted. Out of all the Crystal Gems, Pearl is the most poorly adjusted to life on Earth, being unaware of human social conventions and culture, such as jokes, games, arcades, food, and birthday parties. Pearl has expressed a great desire to leave Earth in "Space Race", going so far as to risk her and Steven's lives. Pearl also has a pessimistic view of humanity, but despite that Pearl is extremely dedicated to her cause in protecting humanity more or less out of her love, loyalty, and admiration for Rose Quartz. She does, however, find certain aspects of Earth rather amazing. Aside from her pessimism and perfectionism, Pearl is usually polite and reserved to others; she keeps everything set orderly and tidy. Her "cleaning lady" attitude was revealed that pearls were servants and were created to "hold stuff" for their masters in "Back to the Barn". - Amethyst:
Name: Amethyst Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Amethyst Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Amethyst is fun-loving and carefree. Loud and full of laughter, she is easily amused and very impulsive. Amethyst is often used as comic relief. She is bad-mannered, rude, untidy, but still good-hearted and protective. Her overprotectiveness of her junk marks her as somewhat of a hoarder. Amethyst tends to indulge Steven more than the other Gems and partakes in human activities with him, generally being carefree to a fault while showing concern for his well-being in times of more severe danger. Although she does not have to, Amethyst enjoys eating and sleeping and is frequently seen doing so. Amethyst loves a good fight, something that manifests itself in her wrestling persona, the "Purple Puma". Because of her origins in Kindergarten and its dark legacy, Amethyst harbors a tremendous amount of self-loathing, which is also fueled by her perception that she is inadequate when compared to Garnet or Pearl. This leaves her feeling out of place among the Crystal Gems, thinking that she does not belong with Gems of their caliber when she was created by the very thing they sought to destroy. She thought that when Steven learned of her past, he would think less of her. She worries about Steven's and Garnet's approval in "Reformed", and Amethyst demonstrates that she has difficulty thinking for herself, regenerating multiple times in the episode with new forms that were all rushed or based on what she thinks Garnet and Steven will approve of. Amethyst is also very observant of other people's feelings. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Pearl forms Opal. Fused with Garnet forms Sugilite. Gem Weapon: Whip Gem Abilities: Whip Proficiency, Shape Shifting, Wrestling, Enhanced Digestion (for a Gem), Hair-Blade, Spin Dash, and standard Gem abilities such as using the Warp Pads, bubbling, etc.
- Garnet:
Name: Garnet Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Garnet (Fusion) Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Though she is often the most pragmatic and straightforward of the Crystal Gems, Garnet tends to act on intuition rather than seriously analyzing a situation, as often seen throughout the series. As the leader, Garnet is often the peacemaker of the Crystal Gems, especially when Pearl and Amethyst start arguing. She demands utmost respect from the other Crystal Gems and is not hesitant to berate team members should they refuse to follow an order. Equable and mellow, Garnet is capable of remaining composed in most situations- this part taken from Sapphire. This is displayed in the episode, "The Return", where Amethyst and Pearl were at a loss for words when they tried to explain to Steven why he was forbidden from fighting alongside them at the Gem Warship's landing. Garnet was the only Crystal Gem who was able to effectively get their point across and convince Steven to join Beach City's evacuation. She was able to remain strong and act practically despite the dangerous and uncertain situation. Garnet demonstrates a fierce competitive spirit. Garnet also has a tendency to act in extremes, either maintaining her normally reserved nature or lashing out with extreme emotion, both of these personalities belonging to her two constituent Gems, the passionate Ruby and conservative Sapphire. Despite this, it should also be noted that Garnet can be seen with emotions neutral to these, but it is a rare occurrence. While mostly level-headed, Garnet can still lose her cool. When Steven began rapidly aging in "So Many Birthdays", Garnet started violently shaking him, thinking, in her desperation, that violence might be the answer. The de-fusion and eventual re-fusion of Ruby and Sapphire in "The Return" and "Jail Break" appears to have had an impact on Garnet's personality; in consequent episodes she appears much more outspoken, lively and engaging. In "Jail Break", she shows great enthusiasm when reunited with Steven and in her fight with Jasper, as opposed to her reserved façade pre-regeneration. Garnet clearly believes fusion to be sacred and personal, something that can be traced back to Ruby rather than Sapphire. Garnet tells Stevonnie in "Alone Together" that a fusion is considered neither one person nor two people, but rather an experience. She was open enough to answer Steven's personal questions regarding Ruby and Sapphire in "Keeping it Together". As such, any form of misuse of fusion greatly upsets Garnet and is one of the few things that breaks her otherwise calm and controlled demeanor; seeing Homeworld's experiments disturbed and frightened her so immensely that she nearly separated from the shock. Garnet has demonstrated that she takes her position as leader seriously and has a strong moral compass. In "Cry for Help", Garnet is deeply disturbed by Pearl lying to her about Peridot rebuilding the Communication Tower so they can form Sardonyx, and for wasting time in finding Peridot. Although she has a sense of morality and takes the team's ethic seriously, Garnet's silent and stoic nature does sometimes interfere with expressing her thoughts and feelings to her teammates. This has happened multiple times, as seen with Amethyst in "Reformed" with Amethyst racing to satisfy Garnet's demands and with Pearl in "Friend Ship" while Pearl was trying to make amends with Garnet by finding Peridot. Garnet's anger rendered her inarticulate enough that she was unable to tell Pearl that being tricked into repeated fusion without a real purpose left her feeling extremely violated. Garnet tends to be very independent, and she will often go on missions by herself even if others want to join her. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Garnet is a fusion of Ruby and Sapphire. Fused with Pearl forms Sardonyx. Fused with Amythest forms Sugilite. Fused with Amythest and Pearl forms Alexandrite. Gem Weapon: Gauntlets [bGem Special Abilities:[/b] Gauntlet Proficiency, Rocket Gauntlets, Weapon Size Augmentation, Photokenesis, Item Summon, Future Vision, Heat Resistance, Enhanced Calculations, Electrokenesis, and other standard Gem abilities like using the Warp Pads, bubbling, etc.
- Ruby:
Name: Ruby Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Ruby Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: According to Rebecca Sugar, Ruby "has no sense of what’s going on around her" and "can only focus on one thing only at the expense of all things". Ruby mainly embodies Garnet's strength and courage, while Sapphire embodies Garnet's cool nature and calm under pressure. Ruby is extremely passionate and emotional. She is known to have a short temper and violent ways of exhibiting her anger; this is best seen in "Keystone Motel", when she was infuriated to the point of using her thermokinesis and boiled the motel pool, even summoning her weapon at The Best Diner in the World. Despite her wild emotions, Ruby is still very willing to admit when she has taken her anger too far and will admit when she is in the wrong. She seems to put the welfare of Sapphire above all else, doing everything to find her and immediately made sure that Sapphire was well. When Garnet is extremely disturbed, Ruby also appears to show the most visible reaction in comparison to Sapphire. This is best demonstrated in "Keeping it Together" when Garnet's left eye began crying. After poofing the big Cluster prototype, Ruby and Sapphire started conversing with each other through their respective sides of Garnet, Ruby arguing that the forced fusion experiments were Homeworld's retaliation against the Crystal Gems for their rebellion. While Sapphire shakily tried to calm themselves from this revelation, Ruby was clearly angered at the revelation of Homeworld's experiments and became hysterical. When not angry, Ruby is a suave romantic, soft with words, and quite flirtatious towards Sapphire. When she channels her emotion on love rather than on rage, she can be affectionate and extremely caring, feeling the need to protect, and even cool down for those whom she truly loves. These moments of calm also bring out the playful tease inside her, which is for the most part trapped under her wild emotions. Ruby also places much value in trust and fusion, being absolutely outraged with Pearl when she learned she was tricked into fusing into Sardonyx. She appears to be a bad conversationalist, occasionally speaking in somewhat unintelligible mumbles, a trait which she carries onto Garnet. In "The Answer" it was shown that Ruby originally had very little sense of self-preservation or individuality, willing to take the blame for fusing with Sapphire and was content with her own inevitable destruction, arguing that there are "tons of her" in reference to the various identical Rubies found on Homeworld. She still possesses this to an extent as seen in "Jail Break" when she was only worried about Sapphire and said "Who cares?" when Sapphire asked if she was hurt. In "Hit the Diamond", she was more calm and collected in terms of her anger than she had been in the past, but she seemed to get really nervous when she didn't know what to do. She was also shown to be bad at lying under pressure, giving the Rubies the idea to search the barn. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki) Fusions: Fused with Sapphire forms Garnet. Fused with other Rubys forms a larger Ruby. Gem Weapon: Gauntlet Gem Special Abilities: Gauntlet Proficiency, Thermokinesis, Pyrokinetic Touch, Heat Resistance, and all standard Gem abilities.
- Sapphire:
Name: Sapphire Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Sapphire Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Sapphire is very compassionate, fair and level-headed as well as patient. She balances out Ruby's much more impulsive personality when they are fused as Garnet. She is shown to be quick to understand a puzzle or situation, as she came to the conclusion of Steven's immunity to the energy field almost immediately. Sapphire usually appears cold and distant to others, a trait that is sometimes reflected in Garnet. This is because she possesses precognition and can see the resolution of events before they have happened. As shown in Keystone Motel she just wants to do what she believes is right, which is to face problems by acting as though they have already been resolved, as she sees them in the future. Because of this, she has trouble letting out her emotions in the present, because she already sees the futures where these emotions have been resolved, opposite to Ruby, who lives in the moment and is more open about her emotions. Sapphire's blasé attitude to the present can make her appear somewhat passive-aggressive as well. But between Ruby and Sapphire, she is also shown to be more social, willing to start a conversation with Ruby about her thoughts about the earth (shown in The Answer). When in a confusing and distressing situation, she lets out more emotion contrasted to Ruby, as Garnet's left eye begins crying in the episode: "So Many Birthdays". In Hit the Diamond, she is shown to have a more violent side to her. When the leader of the Rubies threw the baseball hard, Sapphire managed to hit it by freezing the bat, while screaming with determination. She also shows a light flirty side around Ruby that distracts her from the baseball game. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Ruby forms Garnet. Gem Weapon: Unknown Gem Special Abilities: Future Vision, Cryokinesis, Levitation, Enhanced Speed, and all standard Gem abilities.
- Rose Quartz:
Name: Rose Quartz Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Rose Quartz Age: Unknown – Deceased Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: A natural leader, Rose Quartz is indicated to have had a caring and loving personality. In "An Indirect Kiss", she was described as feeling great sorrow when her loved ones were hurt, with her empathy leading to her Rebellion and the founding of the Crystal Gems. She was also said to have seen beauty in everything "no matter how gross", showing that she treated everyone as equals. In "The Return", it is revealed by Jasper that Rose Quartz was a masterful tactician, a crucial skill that earned her renown. Despite her role, in "Story for Steven", she was shown to have (at least to the knowledge of the Crystal Gems and Greg) a personality greatly resembling that of her son. Rose showed some ambivalence toward her role in the war; when Greg said he knew little about her, she described this as "a good thing." Rose did not fully comprehend the depths of human love in the early stages of her relationship with Greg, seeing that she was very confused when Greg tried to explain the concept of genuine affection. This led Pearl to believe initially that there was not much between Greg and Rose, confronting him with the idea that their "love" was only a phase, and that Greg's novelty would soon wear off. Seeing Rainbow Quartz gave Greg the idea to fuse with Rose, which he'd hoped would help them understand each other. When Greg's fusion attempt failed, Rose started laughing at the thought in a way that he considered to be emotionally distant. When asked to talk like a real person, Rose was quick to admit that her sense of love was a façade, and she had no idea how human love worked. Greg and Rose began to talk, deepening their relationship. After their talk, it can be assumed that she had learned from Greg how to be more 'human', in a sense. There is another unexplored side of Rose's personality - the legends surrounding her paint her as a ruthlessly efficient warrior and leader of the Crystal Gems who not only commanded her fellow Gems in the rebellion but also participated in the fighting. This side of her personality seems at odds with the all-loving, motherly side of her; reflecting perhaps how the beauty of Earth and it is lifeforms greatly affected the stern Gem warrior. It is worth noting that it was her compassion that led to her rebel to protect others, so this behavior is not entirely out of the realm of possibility. In "The Answer", Rose is shown fighting alongside Pearl. She cracks a cocky smile before destroying a Ruby fusion. This would suggest an aggressive side to Rose's personality, which makes sense in light of her Gem type, quartz. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Pearl forms Rainbow Quartz. Gem Weapon: Sword and Shield, Laser Light Canon Gem Special Abilities: Healing, Phytokinesis, Shield Proficiency, Levitation, and it is assumed she had the standard Gem abilities to use the Warp Pad, bubble things, etc.
- Lapis Lazuli:
Name: Lapis Lazuli Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Lapis Lazuli Age: Unknown Affiliation: None Currently Appearance: Personality: While she is kind and friendly with Steven Universe, Lapis Lazuli is bitter, vindictive, and mistrusting towards all the other Crystal Gems, believing they care more about the Earth than their own kind, due to their betrayal of Homeworld and leaving her trapped in the mirror after finding her. When confronted with an enemy more powerful than herself, she displays a defeatist and worried approach. She believes that putting up a struggle can only make the situation worse. In "The Message", she delivers a frantic message to Steven about the approaching invasion, begging him to submit to the Homeworld should they cross paths. In "Jail Break", she gives similar advice when Steven stumbled across her, mentioning Homeworld might go easy on them if they follow orders. However, Lapis can change into an aggressive being if necessary. She expresses an overwhelming desire to return home, going as far as to use one of the Earth's oceans to create a giant water construct for the purpose of using it as a lift in order to get closer. In doing so, she shows that she can be rather inconsiderate and indifferent, as she does not care about the human race nor the Earth, with the exception of Steven. Overall, Lapis is a passionate Gem who doesn't hesitate to fight anyone who stands against her, but is grateful to Steven for releasing her and then healing her gemstone despite being pained at her hand. Lapis is also portrayed as being a martyr, loyal to Steven and willing to suffer if it means protecting him from Jasper or any danger in addition to Malachite. One of Lapis' notable characteristics is her strong willpower. Even with a cracked gemstone, through sheer determination, Lapis managed to control an entire ocean and, once her gemstone was healed, fly an unimaginable distance to Homeworld. Lapis' strength of mind is so great that she suppressed the equally resolved Jasper for months on end. Detrimentally, however, she is also shown to be very stubborn and hesitant in cooperating or accepting help from others unless she has no other choice, seen in both "Jail Break", when she refuses to be set free by Steven, and "Chille Tid", where she is reluctant to give the Crystal Gems her location for them to find her and aid in the situation. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Jasper forms Malachite. Gem Weapon: Hydrokinesis Gem Special Abilities: Hydrokinesis, , Flight, Water Generation, Water Constructs, Water-Walking, Hydromimicry, Matter State Manipulation, Memory Projection, and it is assumed she has the standard gem abilities to use the Warp Pad, bubble, etc.
- Peridot:
Name: Peridot Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Peridot Age: Unknown Affiliation: Previously Homeworld, recently defected to the Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Initially, Peridot was shown to be morose, ruthless, and biased. She is skilled with Gem technology and works for the Homeworld Gems as a technician and takes her work seriously, crushing one of her Robonoids underfoot when it was damaged and useless to her in her first appearance during "Warp Tour". In "Marble Madness", she briefly interacts with Steven, questioning him about the current state of Earth before losing interest and attempting to crush him. When the Crystal Gems intervene and reveal themselves, Peridot is shocked and flustered. Peridot also seems to be a bit stubborn. This is shown when she realizes that the Crystal Gems were the ones that have been destroying her equipment, she quickly loses her temper and asks "Why do you keep destroying my things?!". After "Jail Break", Peridot became increasingly frantic in her attempts to contact Homeworld and stop the Crystal Gems interfering with her mission, as she realized that the Cluster will emerge and that, when it does, it will obliterate all life on Earth. In "Catch and Release", Peridot kidnaps Steven with the hope he'll be able to fix the Homeworld Warp. When he cannot, Peridot becomes hysterical and eventually breaks down with the realization she is stuck on Earth with the Cluster. Before she can elaborate, the Crystal Gems arrive and disarm, poof, and bubble her. After reforming into her natural self with no armor, Peridot is rather diminutive, and she becomes very juvenile and paranoid, assuming that harmless household items are "weapons" and that hostility drives every action from the Crystal Gems. However, once comforted by Steven, she becomes much more relaxed and cooperative, although she still refuses to cooperate with the Gems and sequesters herself in Steven's bathroom. Peridot is very naive when it comes to Earth, especially when the information is not relevant to her mission. She was unaware of the existence of rain or thunderstorms, believed that Steven was a member of a species called "Stevens" because that's what he called himself, and in "Catch and Release", she believed Steven's bathroom to be an archaic think chamber and almost everything in the bathroom to be a weapon. Curiously, she is familiar with the scent of citrus fruit despite her general ignorance of Earth. She is also socially oblivious as she tends to offend all of the Crystal Gems at some point due to her keeping to the Homeworld social hierarchy. Despite her overall unawareness of Earth, she has said that she finds organic life fascinating and is willing to defend the planet from the Cluster and Yellow Diamond. Peridot has been shown to be incredibly stubborn, as it takes several attempts from the Crystal Gems for Peridot to discuss even the Cluster. Often when working, Peridot insists things be done her way and despises compromising. When she does cooperate, it typically takes some persuasion from Steven. She also continues to keep her log, despite the task being a moot point, more or less for a sense of normalcy. She also is vocal and honest about her viewpoints and will bluntly state what is on her mind regardless of the audience. Her statements have put her in harms way on several occasions, whether by the Crystal Gems or her Homeworld superiors. She does take responsibility for what she says and has learned how to keep some of her more offensive opinions to herself. Her recent behavior around the Crystal Gems has shown that she has opened herself up to new ideas and beliefs. Peridot is incredibly dedicated and somewhat possessive, occasionally to the point of obsession. She becomes visibly upset when she discovers that others have damaged her things and is emotionally attached to her mechanical foot, as it is her only remaining part of her limb enhancers. Peridot is also loyal towards people she respects, as she was driven to complete her mission and return to Homeworld despite no contact from Yellow Diamond and has been shown to cling to Steven when she is scared. However, after realizing that now she is stuck on the Earth without any form of escape, she decides to betray Homeworld and destroy the Cluster with the help of Steven and the Crystal Gems. In "Message Received", after managing to contact Yellow Diamond and pleading for the Earth to be spared, she realized her perspective of her leader has changed, and she saw her as the cruel and callous tyrant she is. Peridot then rebels against Yellow Diamond's wishes, cementing her loyalty to the Crystal Gems. Peridot is extremely self-absorbed, which leads her to continually underestimate the Gems. Even after defecting to aid the Crystal Gems, she thinks mainly of her needs. Many of her childlike behaviors, particularly her temper and arrogance, stem from her over-inflated ego. This is not to say Peridot is incapable of putting others above herself; she is just not used to having others who are willing to do the same for her. The same behavior extends to her admitting something personal. As she spends more time on Earth, Peridot has started developing a more gracious and compassionate attitude. Peridot prioritizes logic, reason, and objectivity above emotions, while also displaying natural curiosity and a great desire to learn and understand. She is great at problem-solving as she uses her observations and experiments to make a conclusion, though her experiments are sometimes ill-conceived. Peridot feels that a practical and systematic approach is the correct way to do things while thinking the Crystal Gems are insane for relying on their emotions, particularly when they chose to relax despite imminent danger. Her logical mind tends to put Peridot at odds with the rest of the Gems and has caused her difficulty with communicating. Peridot's reasoning abilties led her to contact Yellow Diamond in an attempt to persuade her to protect the Earth but ultimately decided to betray Homeworld. When a cause is important to her, Peridot can be just as emotionally charged as the rest of the Crystal Gems. Peridot has been shown, repeatedly, to be somewhat underhanded in dealing with the issues that arise around her. Rather than deal with the Crystal Gems head-on, Peridot typically dealt with them with various traps or simply running away. Peridot has even gone as far as kidnapping Steven in order to fix the Homeworld Warp. Her deceptive tendencies have not gone away during her time with the Crystal Gems, as she smuggled a Diamond Communicator of the Moon in an attempt to spare the Earth, and disregarded Pearl's wishes for there not to be a blaster on the cluster drill. Despite being incredibly shifty actions on her part, Peridot's intentions were well meaning and ultimately done to help. Since "Gem Drill", Peridot has displayed solid loyalty to the Gems. In addition, she has become a bit more open and clear about her feelings since becoming a Crystal Gem in "Message Received". (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: None at know currently. Gem Weapon: Modern Gem Technology before defecting, currently none. Gem Special Abilities: Photokinesis, Ferrokinesis (metal control), With Limb Enhancements (Anatomical Seperation, Blaster, Holographic Interface, Tractor Beam, Wall Scaling, Helicopter Fingers), Construction Skills, Extensive Technological knowledge, and it is assumed she has the standard Gem abilities to use the Warp Pad, bubble, etc.
- Jasper:
Name: Jasper Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Jasper (Now Corrupted) Age: Unknown Affiliation: Homeworld Appearance: Personality: Jasper is ruthless and headstrong, as well as a brutal combatant. Assumed to be a high-ranking Gem warrior and veteran of the Rebellion, Jasper is very authoritative and militaristic which directly affects her subordinates, Peridot, and Lapis Lazuli. She does not care about them, doesn't bother to heed their warnings or concerns, and will not hesitate to browbeat them into submission if they complain or disagree with her. The prejudice that Jasper exercises based on combat experience leads her to look down upon beings that appear weaker to her. She despises the act of fusion especially, as seen when she announces that, "Fusion is just a cheap tactic to make weak Gems stronger!" Even after Garnet defeats her and crashes the Gem Warship, she did not consider it a loss, turning back on the previous reasoning and believes that Garnet only bests her due to being a fusion. Her attitude towards those whom she considers having proven themselves in battle, however, is a much more positive and respectful one. When she first arrives on Earth, she quickly dismisses Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl as weaklings not worth her time. She did, however, express disappointment after finding out that Rose Quartz wasn't present because she wants to face her in battle, as she respects her as the military commander of the war. Likewise, this causes her to be confused and frustrated as to why Rose apparently shape-shifts into a human boy to fight. Jasper can be hypocritical; the prospect of a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Crystal Gems revolts her so much that in a last desperate attempt to seize victory, she compels Lapis Lazuli to fuse with her to form Malachite, apparently disregarding her previous opinion on fusion. In addition to this, in "Super Watermelon Island", Jasper's view on fusion has changed completely. As the fusion, Malachite, her personality states that she now sees fusion differently, commenting that there was "more to it" and that she was shown a new world of possibilities because of it. In "Chille Tid", Jasper appears furious and unhinged. The most probable reason why is because of the extended period that Jasper has remained immobile, trapped with Lapis in a seemingly endless power struggle in Malachite, held down with the weight of Earth's ocean and unable to escape the fusion. At the expense of all else, Jasper's mindset on victory is her primary focus. Without the prospect of a challenge, she considers the task at hand a waste of time. Jasper will even forsake her beliefs if that means she will come out on top. Interestingly, as long as they fought on even terms Jasper does seem to respect those who best her in combat, implying she has a warped code of honor. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Lapis forms Malachite. Gem Weapon: Crash Helmet Gem Special Abilities: Crash Helmet Proficiency, Martial Arts, Headbutting, Comet Charge, Spin Dash, and it is assumed she has all the standard Gem abilities.
- Yellow Diamond:
Name: Yellow Diamond Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Yellow Diamond Age: Unknown Affiliation: Homeworld Appearance: Personality: Yellow Diamond, like most Homeworld Gems, is shown to care little for the Earth and organic life. As shown in her debut, she is cold, ruthless, and cruel. She states that she would get great satisfaction to see the Earth destroyed. When Peridot contacted her, she was annoyed by her multiple failures and cared only about bringing her back to Homeworld so she could continue her other assignments. In "Message Received", she is shown to be an extremely arrogant tyrant who shows little-to-no concern for non-Gem worlds and only cares about things that matter to her. More so, she seems to have a temper as she appeared to be furious when Peridot referred to her as a "clod". She seems to detest organic lifeforms, and she has a rather strong hatred for the Earth, most likely due to the success of the rebellion. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: None known at the moment. Gem Weapon: Unknown Gem Special Abilities: Unknown but assumed to have standard gem abilities.
- Blue Diamond:
Name: Blue Diamond Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Blue Diamond Age: Unknown Affiliation: Homeworld Appearance: Personality: She was once the supervisor of the colonization of Earth before abandoning it after the Crystal Gems' Rebellion. In her debut, she had displayed a significant intolerance towards insubordination as she intended to break Ruby's gem, despite the latter fulfilling her duties and protecting Sapphire. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: None known at the moment. Gem Weapon: Unknown Gem Special Abilities: Unknown but assumed to have standard gem abilities.
- Bismuth:
Name: Bismuth Race: Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Bismuth Age: N/A Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Bismuth is boisterous, fierce, determined, empathetic, and emotive. She is not afraid to speak and act her mind. While Bismuth cares deeply for her friends, she also harbors an immense hatred for Homeworld elites - specifically the Diamond Authority. Bismuth has an aggressive personality, even when being affectionate. When she sees her friends Pearl and Garnet, she immediately pulls them in for bone-crushing hugs. Her manner-of-speaking is blunt and to-the-point, and she acts without gaining consensus from the group surrounding her. She enjoys fighting: she reminisces fondly on the battles she and Garnet fought together against Homeworld's army, for example, and she loves to spar. When confronted, she attacks first and asks questions later. She has a playful side: she regularly creates puns out of the word "Bismuth" and habitually ribs the other Crystal Gems. Bismuth is deeply devoted to her friends. She makes them weapons to compliment their existing skill-sets; she playfully teases them while they are alive; and she grieves for them when she learns they are dead. The fact that the remaining Crystal Gems did not know of her imprisonment within Lion's Dimension troubles and wounds her. Bismuth also relishes the freedom and possibility that results from being a Crystal Gem. She speaks with passion and wonder about Steven's ability to be himself (rather than a copy of Rose Quartz) and her own ability to differentiate herself from other Bismuths by doing what she wants rather than conforming to a prescribed role. Bismuth's passion for maintaining her own freedom and the freedom of others is what drives her to fight against Homeworld. She deeply resents the "Homeworld elites" for forcing her to do their bidding, and this resentment manifests itself in the form of unmitigated hatred. Bismuth is vindictive and determined to win the fight against Homeworld at any cost. She has no faith in the leadership of Homeworld, whom she believes to be fundamentally evil, and sees it as her duty to free the gems that live under Homeworld's rule. Because of this conviction, she is willing to go to any length to obtain what she sees as justice. This mentality leads her to build the Breaking Point, which she sees as the only way to defeat Homeworld despite the ethical complications of using it. It also ultimately leads her to attack Steven with intent to shatter him, whom she believes to be Rose Quartz attempting to stop her again. When it comes to defeating Homeworld, Bismuth becomes ruthless and a danger to anyone standing in her way. Gem Weapon: Shapeshifting Gem Special Abilities: Shapeshifting Weapons, Skilled Craftsman, Weapon Alteration, Thermal Resistance, Superhuman Strength

| Fusions - Opal:
Name: Opal Race: Gem (Fusion) If Gem, Type of Gem: Opal Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Amethyst and Pearl are extremely powerful when they are willing to work together in the form of Opal. Amethyst's ability to live in the moment along with Pearl's obsessive single-mindedness results in a stable fusion. Opal achieves a peace in that balance that Amethyst and Pearl rarely experience on their own. At times, Opal is so calm and at peace that it causes her to forget the task at hand (for example, forgetting to retrieve the Heaven Beetle after rescuing Steven). In addition, according to the book "Guide To The Crystal Gems", Opal is very forgetful. The balance that holds Opal together is, by far, the thinnest of all the other known fusions. The ease with which Opal can separate is very different from that of Garnet, who is almost impossible to unfuse except under extreme emotion, or if by force. If Pearl and Amethyst have conflicting views while fused, this can cause Opal to revert to her constituent Gems; the slightest dissonance between the two poses a danger of involuntary defusion.[1] Opal's personality is speculated to be a combination of Amethyst's power, along with Pearl's grace and precision. She appears to be more open to Steven's desire to have fun and play, as she sang part of his song back to him. This is a trait that can be traced back to Amethyst. In "Fusion", Opal shows both of Pearl and Amethyst's personalities by posing with elegant and silly poses. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Garnet forms Alexandrite. Gem Weapon: Bow and Light Arrow Gem Special Abilities: Archery Proficiency, Gem Bubbling Arrows, Multi Shot Arrows, Water-Walking, and all other standard Gem abilities.
- Sugilite:
Name: Sugilite Race: Gem (Fusion) If Gem, Type of Gem: Sugilite Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Sugilite cares for herself first and foremost. Though she carries out mission objectives effectively, she has problems with impulse control and does not hesitate to use her power for personal gain. She combines Garnet's headstrong, unwavering nature with Amethyst's indulgence, as well as her negative attitude towards authority. The resulting personality is a volatile mix that is highly aggressive and dangerous to everyone she encounters. This causes at least one perilous situation, wherein Sugilite, enraged that she was left behind during a mission and asked to unfuse, viciously attacks and severely injures Pearl. She seems to possess some of Ruby and Sapphire's feelings towards separating. She also appears to be cold like Sapphire can be, containing Ruby's anger issues and Amethyst's recklessness. All of Sugilite's constituent Gems contribute to her general temperament, though the similarity in nature of Amethyst and Ruby seemingly overwhelm Sapphire. Despite her destructive nature, she does seem to retain an attachment to Steven, refraining from marking him as a direct target during her rampages. Ironically, she inadvertently causes a chunk of debris to fly off at Pearl, who deflects it and hits Steven in the face. Sugilite appears to want to impress Steven with her strength, asking if he wanted "to see something cool?" when summoning Garnet's gauntlets and Amethyst's whip to form her flail. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Pearl forms Alexandrite. Gem Weapon: Giant Flail Gem Special Abilities: Flail Proficiency, Wind-Up Punch, and other standard Gem abilities.
- Sardonyx:
Name: Sardonyx Race: Gem (Fusion) If Gem, Type of Gem: Sardonyx Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Sardonyx appears to have a combination of Garnet and Pearl's personalities, acting decidedly theatrical while also being able to keep up an intelligent conversation. Her demeanor is, for the most part, quite dramatic, as she prefers conversing with her peers in a matter similar to how a master of ceremonies would to her audience, which fits her formal dress appearance. She seems to be snarky and witty, often laughs at her own jokes, and remarks in a very pompous and comedic manner. She also seems to hold a very cheerful attitude towards almost anything as seen when she takes down the Communication Hub. She thinks very highly of herself and can be rather cocky at times, although she also seems to be considerate of other people as well as her surroundings. Despite this, Sardonyx is completely capable of being serious when necessary. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: Fused with Amythest forms Alexandrite. Gem Weapon: Giant War Hammer Gem Special Abilities: War Hammer Proficiency, Anatomy Manipulation, Enhanced Calculations, and all standard Gem abilities.
- Alexandrite:
Name: Alexandrite Race: Gem (Fusion) If Gem, Type of Gem: Alexandrite Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Alexandrite starts off cold, somewhat distant, intense, and sloppy. As the fusion becomes more unstable, the Crystal Gems' individual personalities become more prominent, showing Pearl's fear of food, Amethyst's hunger and argumentative personality, and Garnet's social awkwardness, leadership, and control of situations. During "Fusion Cuisine" she is not shown to have her own personality, but rather four separate personalities, each one being that of Garnet (Ruby & Sapphire), Amethyst, and Pearl. These personalities can exist at the same time and come into conflict with each other, causing Alexandrite to defuse. As shown in "Super Watermelon Island", she is able to keep herself together when in serious situations. She was shown to be a ferocious fighter, roaring in a bestial-like manner before charging at her enemy. However, she offered to settle things peacefully before the battle, reminding her enemy that they don't have to fight. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: No known fusions. Gem Weapon: Bow and Light Arrow, Giant Flail, Giant Hammer, Spear, Whip, Gauntlets Gem Special Abilities: Weapon Proficiency, Anatomy Manipulation, Fire Breathing, and other standard Gem abilities.
- Malachite:
Name: Malachite Race: Gem (Fusion) If Gem, Type of Gem: Malachite Age: Unknown Affiliation: Unknown Appearance: Personality: Due to being a fusion, Malachite's personality is a twisted combination of both Jasper and Lapis' character traits. However, because she is an unstable fusion held together with anger, their personalities are present rather than merging into a new one (much like how Alexandrite displayed the individual personalities of Amethyst, Garnet, and Pearl rather than merging into one). Once formed, she was shown as having Jasper's disdain for the Crystal Gems and wishing to see them destroyed, but Lapis' consciousness was later shown to be the most dominant, as she was able to overpower Jasper's. In "Chille Tid", Lapis is shown to be struggling to maintain her dominance over Jasper, it is also clear that if Lapis is distracted for the shortest period, Jasper can gain control. At the end of the episode, Malachite's personality starts to dominate and suppress Lapis' own, much in the same way Pearl was afraid it would happen to Amethyst and Garnet when fused into Sugilite for too long. It ends on a chilling note with Lapis refusing the name Lapis and proclaiming that they are Malachite now, indicating that Malachite's true personality is formed and is starting to take over. It is unknown if Jasper has also lost herself to the fusion. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: No known fusions. Gem Weapon: Hydrokinesis and Crash Helmet Gem Special Abilities: Crash Helment and Hydrokinesis Proficiency, Matter State Manipulation, Flying, Spin Dash, Comet Charge, and other standard Gem abilities.
- Stevonnie:
Name: Stevonnie Race: Gem/Human Hybrid (Fusion) If Gem, Type of Gem: Rose Quartz Age: Unknown, assumed to be mid-teens. Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Stevonnie's personality is unique. As a fusion, they do not have a single, distinct personality, but instead have a blend of both Connie and Steven's minds, and they frequently alternate in their control of Stevonnie's behavior and thoughts. They carry the free spirit, friendliness, and fun-loving attitude of Steven and the courtesy, awkwardness, and intelligence of Connie. When under pressure, Connie and Steven's personalities may become more distinct, as when Stevonnie unintentionally became the center of attention at the rave party they became nervous and had a panic attack, something that can be traced back to Connie rather than Steven. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: No known fusions at this time. Gem Weapon: Sword and Shield Gem Special Abilities: Levitation
- Rainbow Quartz:
Name: Rainbow Quartz Race: Gem (Fusion) If Gem, Type of Gem: Rainbow Quartz Age: Unknown Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Unknown, not much was revealed in her brief appearance. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Fusions: None known at this time. Gem Weapon: Unknown Gem Special Abilities: Unknown, assumed to have standard Gem abilities.
- Smokey Quartz:
Name: Smokey Quartz Race: (Gem If Gem, Type of Gem: Smokey Quartz - Fusion Age: N/A Affiliation: (The Crystal Gems Appearance: Personality: Smoky Quartz has a somewhat cocky, carefree, and proud attitude, which may stem from Amethyst. They also have a more humorous and relaxed side to their personality, with a tendency to make jokes, even in the heat of battle, which stems from both Steven and Amethyst. They are extremely confident in battle. Because of their cooperators' trust in one another, they are moderately stable. However, they can easily unfuse from distress/intense emotion, as shown when they witness Jasper starting to become corrupted. Gem Weapon: Giant Yo-Yo Gem Special Abilities: Yo-Yo Proficiency, Levitation

| Humans - Connie Maheswaran:
Name: Connie Maheswaran Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: 12 Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Connie is a young girl with dark skin and waist-length dark brown puffy hair. She has a prominent nose, thick eyebrows, and wears a pair of magenta lens-less glasses. However, after the episode “Indirect Kiss”, she no longer sports this rose-tinted glasses. She’s slightly taller than Steven. Connie is usually seen in a variety of different outfits and dresses. She usually wears light blue, green, and white clothing. In the first intro, she is seen wearing a white and seafoam-green dress with her peach colored boots but with a sunhat and no socks. Her glasses also have the lenses still on. Personality: Connie is introverted, curious and intelligent. Due to her parents' lifestyle, specifically her father's, Connie rarely stays in one place for long and has been unable to form lasting friendships, which left her frequently feeling lonely. Her parents are very strict and don't allow her to participate in common childhood activities (such as eating donuts or anything with trans fats). This has led her to flat-out lie about Steven's non-nuclear family, due to paranoia at how they may react. Despite her obedience to her parents, Connie is not above exploiting loopholes, such as not buying snacks at a theater and instead bringing them from Steven's home. Connie has grown used to the strange dynamic of her friendship with Steven despite her initial uncertainty of it, as in "Marble Madness" when the Gems destroy one of Peridot's robonoids in front of her, she reacts passively awed and only comments that she loves hanging out at Steven's place. She can be a bit deadpan at times, such as when she jokes about cutting off Steven's hand in "Lion 2: The Movie" and in that same instance quickly understands that by poking/tickling Steven she could provoke a reaction from Rose's Secret Armory. Her hobbies appear to include tennis and reading, and she also plays the violin, as seen in "Fusion Cuisine" and "Nightmare Hospital". "Sworn to the Sword" shows a more confident and aggressive side to her personality as she learns how to use a sword. Due to Pearl's negative reinforcement, she also began to display a reckless side, but this was quickly put out by Steven. It also highlights her strong feelings for Steven through her dedication in becoming his knight. This boosted confidence is also shown in "Nightmare Hospital" when Connie stood up to her mother about her strict upbringing and rules, and also even revealed her involvement in magical affairs. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)Gem Weapon: Rose Quartz’s Sword
- Greg Universe:
Name: Greg Universe Race: Human Age: Unknown but guessed to be in 30s-40s. Affiliation: The Crystal Gems Appearance: Greg appears as a plump man with a dark-beige beard surrounding his mouth. Greg has taupe hair styled in a mullet and dark-taupe eyes, with hair grown past his shoulders, and a large bald spot on the top of his head. He usually wears white tank tops, with long or short gray pants. He has a tan line on his shoulders and feet. (Possibly from a shirt and pants he wore before). Greg's skin color is a peachy red color, with the tan line spots being a light apricot color. He wears teal flip-flops, although he tends to go barefoot. In "Winter Forecast", he wears a purple dress shirt with pinkish plum spots over his tank, a blue baseball cap with a red underside, and brown footwear. When he was younger, he had a striking resemblance to Steven but had earring pieces, longer hair that flowed past his waist, a black sleeveless shirt with a star on it, and jeans with light blue sandals. Personality: Greg seems to be an overall kind person living a simpler lifestyle. He is known to be friendly and genuine, and, so far, has retained an honest attitude concerning his feelings as an individual. He appears to be easy-going and an optimist; his catchphrase is "If every porkchop were perfect, we wouldn't have hot dogs". He can be a bit immature at times, fooling around with watermelons in "Watermelon Steven", and is "kind of a mess" as described by Amethyst. He has been known to make poor choices, such as dropping out of college or faking an injury to spend time with Steven, but he always takes full responsibility for it afterward and will do whatever he can to make it up. While Greg is not necessarily knowledgeable about many of the situations he faces, he often tries to give the best advice he can that is based on his own experiences, which can have much value in their simplicity and his pragmatic view on things. Greg's advice had proven often invaluable to numerous people around him, like when he reminded Steven on when to bail out, which in turned saved his and Pearl's life in "Space Race". Much like his son, Greg cares deeply for his loved ones and friends, such as when he went out of his way to get closer to Rose despite the boundaries between their species. He is similarly characterized as paranoid of the worst happening to Steven, which stresses him to no end. Despite this, he tries his best to put on a brave face for his son with the knowledge that it made Steven happy and fulfilled, as seen in "Full Disclosure". Even though he does not know what difference he can make, Greg will usually help those he cares about when in need, seen as he joins Steven on his mission in "Ocean Gem" and offer Connie support in "We Need to Talk". He is also not the one to bear deep-seated grudges; even though the majority of the Crystal Gems in part resented him for what happened to Rose, he still wished they could be friends again, such as in "Maximum Capacity" and "The Message". In "Story for Steven", he said Marty was "dead to him" but still admitted that he was partly thankful for the help making the choice to stay with Rose. Greg is a sensitive person, according to Amethyst and a Crying Breakfast Friends! comparison made by Steven in "Reformed". Steven describes Pining Grapefruit as "wishing he was a better role model", something Greg shares with the Gems as none of them feel confident raising a child as unique as Steven. This leaves him with a minor lack in self-confidence as he has noted himself that he cannot offer very much. Nevertheless, he does not let it stop him from trying to prove he can be of use, as seen in "The Message", and does his best to be a responsible parent, taking parental initiative with Steven in "Space Race" to keep him safe. He seems to be a little uncomfortable in dealing with Gem powers, which he refers to as "magic stuff". He chooses to avoid magical situations unless Steven asks him for help. It is unknown if Greg has bad memories related to Gem powers, and if that is the cause for his reluctance to get involved with them. While he does not show it in everyday life, Greg was deeply affected by Rose's passing. Having cherished his time with her, Greg was unwilling to let go of the past, which manifested in a hoarding problem where he was reluctant to throw anything away. In "Maximum Capacity", however, Grey finally let go of his past by getting rid of all his junk. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Sadie Miller:
Name: Sadie Miller Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: 16-18 Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Sadie is a clerk at the Big Donut and the co-worker of Lars. She is friends with Steven and enjoys his comebacks. Although she is friends with Lars, she doesn't like it when he makes fun of Steven. She's sweet, friendly and reserved, mature and kind spirited, which can sometimes leave her at a disadvantage. She also values her job greatly and is as professional as can be. As shown in "So Many Birthdays" and "Island Adventure" she is capable of protecting herself and loved ones if needed, if not rather violent at times, even if she doesn't mean to be. She is also shown to have a vindictive side, as Sadie has put extremely hot spices in Lars' food as payback for skipping out on work. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Lars:
Name: Lars Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Exact age unknown, assumed to be around 18 Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Lars has a bit of a mean personality which he uses to hide his low self-esteem, which is shown to have been carried over from his childhood, as seen in "Horror Club". As a result, he routinely ridicules Steven, who is an easy target. He likes to aggravate him by discrediting the Crystal Gems, although he might just be jealous that Steven gets to hang out with "a bunch of hot girls" as mentioned in the "Pilot". Like many Beach City citizens, Lars is aware of Steven's powers, but he does not think much of them; It is worth noting that this too could be a facade. Lars can be immature and thoughtless at times, such as when he disrespects Steven's mother,Rose Quartz, in "Lars and the Cool Kids". More often than not, Steven either misses or ignores Lars's taunts because he believes he is a good person deep down. Lars is also a slacker, a trait that was highlighted in "Joking Victim", in which he faked a back injury to get out of work. Sadie has mentioned that Lars has tendencies to turn up late to work and clock out early, as shown in "Lion 3: Straight to Video". Lars has a strong desire to fit in and cares deeply about how others view him, especially the cool kids. Despite his rude facade, he seems to have a bit of a soft side that has been brought out time and time again by Sadie and Steven. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Jamie:
Name: Jamie Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Assumed to be early 20s. Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Jamie is easygoing, friendly, kind, and is (mostly) dedicated to his job. While he takes his duties seriously, his real dream is to be an actor. He considers himself a thespian, likes Shakespearean poetry, and has a flare for the dramatic (so much so that he and others refer to his bouts of overacting as being in "the drama zone"). He is very sensitive at times and does not take rejection well. His failed attempts to make it big in Kansas were particularly difficult for him to deal with. Jamie is a true romantic and believes in love at first sight. When Garnet rejected his advances, he was heartbroken, and chose to give up the Beach House route so as to not have to face her again. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Peedee Fryman:
Name: Peedee Fryman Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Assumed to be around Steven's age. Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Overly serious, occasionally cynical, highly responsible, and inordinately dramatic, Peedee is unlike the average child his age. He has an outlook matching that of a world-weary soul, which leads to moments of profound contemplation. Driven by his love for his family and his work, he takes his job at Beach City Boardwalk Fries very seriously. He wishes he could "be a kid" like other children, but, for a long period, his desire for his father's approval barred him from being able to fully enjoy his childhood. However, as a result, Peedee appears to be trusted by his dad enough to be able to officially close up and run the shack on his own, as opposed to his older brother Ronaldo, who is fairly reckless. Peedee is also highly excitable— in "Frybo", he was prone to hysterics even before the situation actually got dark. Even though Steven was dressed in a very obvious disguise in "Keep Beach City Weird", Peedee still mistook him for a real snake-person until he slipped out of the costume. He is also shown to be very attached to the shop, as shown in the episode "The Return" when his father had to physically pull him away from the counter during the evacuation of Beach City. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Ronaldo Fryman:
Name: Ronaldo Fryman Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Unknown Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Ronaldo is a good-natured, highly excitable teenager, especially when dealing with supernatural phenomena and secret activities, like Beach City Underground Wrestling. He keeps a blog about such things called Keep Beach City Weird. He is always interested when Steven has something unusual to show people. He readily believes in things with little to no supporting evidence, such as in "Steven's Lion", when he assumed Steven's magical lionwas invisible instead of nonexistent, and he momentarily believed Steven was pregnant. Ronaldo is prone to being overly-enthusiastic in his research endeavors. He is always eager to share his findings with his friends, followers, and really anyone who will listen. He reveals his deepest findings with Steven the moment he asks permission to join him. It's revealed in "Keep Beach City Weird" that while he finds Steven and the Crystal Gems cool, his greatest interest is in uncovering conspiracies and revealing the hidden truth. Pearlinadvertently suggests that this may be done out of a desire to feel more significant than he really is, and Ronaldo's reaction when his findings turn out to be unrelated seems to confirm this. He routinely asks his younger, more responsible brother Peedee to cover for him at work when he believes he's found a new lead. His enthusiasm for conspiracies and the paranormal have also led him to be a bit paranoid and/or belligerent, such as when Ronaldo took hostile action against Steven under the impression he was a snake-person. - Vidalia:
Name: Vidalia Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Unknown, assumed to be in 40s Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: In "Story for Steven", she was shown to have an apathetic personality; sarcastically commenting on Greg "living the high life" after seeing his van. In "Onion Friend", she shows much more emotion than her initial appearance. She is also very empathetic, listening to Amethyst talk about how Garnet andPearl fighting has been affecting her. She acts like a real motherly figure to her sons and even expresses that affection towards Amethyst. She is also supportive, claiming that her sons have to express themselves, allowing Sour Cream to do his DJing (even though it uses up all the power in the house), andOnion to play with his food and cause trouble. Even after growing up and becoming a mother, she still considers herself a troublemaker and a "bad girl". (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Onion:
Name: Onion Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Unknown, assumed to be around Steven's age. Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Onion is a very quiet kid who chooses not to speak to anyone except for his parents. When he speaks, it sounds like gibberish. Despite this, people seem to communicate just fine with him, showing no confusion whatsoever. Onion is eager to help people. He will blindly follow orders even if they don't seem very well thought out, such as in the episode "Bubble Buddies", when he shot a harpoon at Steven's bubble. He cannot stand being lied to, especially by close friends, as shown in "Steven's Lion". He has been seen to be a thief in "So Many Birthdays", as he was seen stealing tickets from an arcade machine, which explains how he had enough to win a moped in "Arcade Mania". This is further emphasized in "Onion Trade" with Onion's delinquent behaviors such as destroying the moped for no apparent reason. He also stole Steven's Chaaaaps and Ranger Guy in the episodes "Onion Friend " and "Onion Trade ", respectively. Onion's delinquent and kleptomaniacal behavior can be attributed to his severe loneliness as a grab for attention, due to his father constantly being at sea. He does not seem to understand or simply not care when and if he is hurting people, has no qualms with stealing what he wants, and does things obliviously in the name of fun. This could be attributed to his young age and lack of moral understanding. He continues his bad acts in "Watermelon Steven", when he steals Steven's Baby Melon despite Steven stating he wasn't for sale. In "Political Power", Onion seems to be on the verge of attacking Mayor Dewey as he held his baseball bat menacingly. He has also been shown to have a rather strange fixation with food, in that he is never seen eating it but instead throwing or destroying said food as said by Steven and proven in "Onion Trade" and "Onion Friend". He seems to have an overall strange personality, as he is a very difficult person to understand and predict. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Sour Cream:
Name: Sour Cream Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Late teens Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Sour Cream is soft-spoken and "chill" in most interactions. He enjoys dancing, "raving", listening to electronic music, and DJ-ing using Nintendo consoles for his "friends from the internet". In contrast to his usually chill nature, it's shown that his relationship with his step-dad, Yellowtail, makes him openly angry. He wants to become a DJ instead of a fisherman like his step-dad. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Buck Dewey:
Name: Buck Dewey Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Late teens Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Buck is a relaxed and mysterious individual whose favorite activity is hanging out with his friends. He keeps an open mind and appreciates other people's points of view. He is a bit of a cynic, finding Steven's naive love for his father "funny" and saying that Steven offers a counterpoint to his cynical worldview. He both resents and takes advantage of his position as "the mayor's son". He is often annoyed with his dad for telling him how to behave and trying to be "hip". His general laid back and calm personality mimics that of Garnet's, along with his voice. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Bill Dewey aka Mayor Dewey:
Name: Bill Dewey or Mayor Dewey Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Unknown, assumed to be mid 40s. Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Bill Dewey displays some of the common stereotypes of politicians: he believes his position entitles him to certain privileges, he's overly concerned about money, he's distinguished in public but lacks confidence in private (especially when put under any pressure), etc. He likes to pretend that he has more importance, influence, and control over Beach City than he really does. It is also implied that Bill has made some less than legal choices during his career as mayor. He refers to the town as "a magnet for disaster", which is a fair assessment as the local is often the target of unnatural phenomena such as dangerousCorrupted Gems, destructive machines from space, and other disasters like the recession of the ocean or the falling debris from the Gem Warship. He's slightly incompetent at his job of managing the city (he pitifully tries to refill the ocean with a watering hose when it recedes), so he employs a "bread and circuses" political tactic to keep himself in the town's good favor. He believes it's his job to keep the citizens feeling calm and secure, so he often sets up various diversions and attractions such as the world's largest bowl of ice-cream ("Joking Victim"), a Summer Season welcoming speech ("Mirror Gem"), a New Year's Eve fireworks show ("Maximum Capacity"), and a statue of himself. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Jenny Pizza:
Name: Jenny Pizza Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Late teens. Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Jenny is a chill, fun-loving teenager. Like most teens, she shirks her responsibilities, even at work where she sleeps on the job at the family ownedFish Stew Pizza. She is not as enthusiastic about the family business (even stating she hates the smell of pizza) as her sister Kiki, and certainly not as much as her father Kofi. She does however, enjoy hanging out with her grandmother Nanefua. She cares most about hanging out with her friends, and isn't afraid of a little danger or doing something possibly illegal. Being one of the few with access to a car, she drives her friends around town. She is also selfless and brave, standing in front of Garnet's fist right before she was about to punch theEscape Pod that Steven was trapped inside. Jenny is also friendly, as she quickly accepts new people into her friendship group and is willing to drive them around. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
- Kiki Pizza:
Name: Kiki Pizza Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Late teens Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Kiki is nice and comical with a sassy side. She likes to help her dad Kofi in the family business unlike her sister, Jenny. While playing volleyball in Beach Party, she tries to stay clean. She appears to be more open to magic than her dad and sister. She also has good work ethic as she works in the family business more than her twin sister. - Dr. Priyanka Maheswaran:
Name: Dr. Priyanka Maheswaran Race: Human If Gem, Type of Gem: N/A Age: Assumed to be mid-40s Affiliation: None Appearance: Personality: Most of what is known about her is learned in the episode "Fusion Cuisine", where she is shown to be a strict but loving parent. Her restrictive nature verges on overprotective and has caused Connie to miss out on ordinary pleasures most kids her age enjoy. For example, Connie is not allowed to eat food with high trans fat content, and as such has never eaten a doughnut. Connie stated that her mother doesn't understand how her favorite show, "Under the Knife" is satire, and does not allow the show to be watched in her home. She is concerned with keeping up good appearances, and reminds Connie not to rest her head on the table. She does not appear to be frightened easily by something unless it involves Connie, as shown in "Nightmare Hospital", where she panics when she sees Connie has Rose's sword but remains calm when seeing the Gem fusion experiments. Connie is concerned that her mother would find the Crystal Gems weird and forbid her from seeing Steven. This indicates that she is (or Connie perceives her to be) a conservative individual. Despite the strange circumstances of the dinner, Dr. Maheswaran attempts to be cordial with Alexandrite, and even chastises her husband for his joke about the bread sticks. She values honesty and her intuition, and is deeply upset when she learns Connie lied to her. She finds common ground with Greg Universe and the Crystal Gems when she observes the way they responsibly admonish Steven for his actions, and allows Connie to continue seeing him. She is very concerned with safety as said by herself and Connie and would do anything at all costs to keep it. (Information taken from the Steven Universe Wiki)
