| So I had a thought this past weekend when I was thinking about Lapis and her waterbending powers and how nobody else seems to have such an ability (so far). When we see fights go on with our gems, they summon a physical weapon and use that for attacks. Lapis doesn't appear to summon anything. This made me wonder, is there battle classes? Is there physical fighters like our gems and then gems that use purely magic-based powers like Lapis? Is there other classes too like support (i.e. Peridot)? |

| As we were told Quartzes are typically warriors and Rubies too - idk if they are quartz type -so there are chances that other gems have specific roles in wars and in society however so far no sign of them helping on battlefield. |

| I think Homeworld does have a complex ranking system both for the battlefield and for society too. Cuz we already know a few of the gems' "rankings" based on what's been revealed about homeworld.
Rose Quartz was a general of some kind. There's theories that she's the long lost Pink Diamond but that's a whole separate theory. As of right now we just know she was a war general of some sort.
Jasper I think is the new type of war general to replace what Rose Quartz possibly was.
Amethyst was meant to be a huge warrior type of gem.
So that's three different classes just among the quartzes.
Then there's Pearls, being a servant type of class.
Rubys that are another type of warrior or grunt.
Sapphire was mentioned to be an aristocratic gem partly because of her vision capabilities but I also think her gem had to do with it too.
Peridot is an informant type or maybe a type of informational archive. I have a theory that her gems are meant to receive and store data and she just happened to be used to store data about the Cluster specifically.
We don't really know the purpose of Lapis yet. She was on Earth for a reason but it was never mentioned why, and the fact that she got caught up in the war by accident suggests she's not a military gem.
SO yeah we have bits and pieces of a hierarchy but it's pretty spotty at the moment xD |
