Name: Crystal Sodalite Facet-7F9C Cut-2KA, informal Crystal or "Crys"
Race: Gem
Type of Gem: Imperfect Crystal Sodalite; Crystal Sodalites are a Homeworld invention and are made from the refinery dust of crystals and Sodalites. Crys's gem is imperfect and has a minuscule amount of Creedite dust mixed in.
Age: a little over 2,000, looks 20
Affiliation: Formerly Homeworld, currently unaffiliated
Appearance: http://s22272.storage.proboards.com/6022272/t/pvTaVi9VU682FxSEbm2v.jpgHer gem is an elongated hexagon situated on her forehead; it looks like a murky white from far away, but close up, it is obvious that there are blue and orange swirls in the mix. She has dark, smoky blue skin that gradually gets lighter from her feet up to her head, aside from spots or slashes of slight discoloration. She keeps her long, light blue/white hair tied up in a low ponytail. Her amber eyes are a defect, as Crystal Sodalites were designed to have grey eyes. She's fairly thin and tall, like a Lapis Lazuli, although her limbs are a tad bulkier than one.

Personality: Back on Homeworld, Sodalite was arrogant, bragging, a typical Homeworld Gem. Now, however, Crystal doesn't know who she is. She knows she doesn't want to be a part of Homeworld, at least.
Likes:Architecture, her Pearl, music (classical and hip-hop alike)
Dislikes: the Diamonds, unnecessary destruction
Fears: Being shattered, the buds of non-Homeworld-ness within herself, being deep underwater
History: Sodalite was a Homeworld gem for over 2,000 years. Initially, she served under Blue Diamond as a planner and architect of gem structures. This time was a peaceful one for Sodalite; she knew she was good at her job, and while she was no Sapphire or Lapis Lazuli, she was valuable enough to her superiors to know she wouldn't be shattered anytime soon. She was so good at her job that Blue Diamond herself gave her a Pearl as a reward (and as a parting gift, as she knew Sodalite would be under White Diamond's jurisdiction soon enough).
That's where all the trouble started.
Not a few weeks after she got her Pearl did Sodalite have her first Dreamwalking experience, right into the mind of said gem. She was horrified and threatened to shatter Pearl if she ever told anyone about what had occurred. Of course, not knowing that sleeping triggered the power, Sodalite accidentally Dreamwalked again, into the exhausted mind of an overworked Citrine. The Citrine was shattered not long after for "sprouting lies".
Over the next few years, Sodalite stopped sleeping and gradually grew closer to her Pearl after getting over the whole 'I'll shatter you if you tell anyone I'm defective' thing. She was promoted into the court of White Diamond, a high honor, although in her quiet moments Sodalite worried about the extra effort she'd have to put in to hide her imperfections from her thus far unblemished reputation. Luckily, with her new promotion, Sodalite was able to travel off-planet to see and assist in her architectural creations, meaning the only ones she had to hide things from were gems of the same or lower rank than her.
While coming back from a successful build, White Diamond contacted Sodalite; a recent incident with a defective Peridot had brought the dangers of imperfection to the Diamonds' attentions, and unfortunately, Sodalite was an imperfection, a flaw due to her gem composition; during the transmission, she found that, to her dismay, she had only been kept alive for so long because she was good at her job, and would have otherwise been recycled long ago.
In a momentary act of defiance, Sodalite (and her ever-loyal Pearl) took out the peridot and two tiger eyes flying the ship and directed its course away from Homeworld. Neither knew how to fly a ship very well, however, and they ended up crashing on Earth, the two gems being separated when the craft broke apart in the atmosphere.
After a few weeks on Earth, Sodalite has adopted the name "Crystal" and continues to search for her Pearl.
Gem Weapon: none, yet.
Gem Special Abilities: Structure building; Crys can, with a little concentration and effort, construct structures of rock, stone, or sand (whichever, if any, is in the ground around her). It's much like the construction the Desert Glass can do, although far from as powerful. This is an ability all Crystal Sodalites possess, mainly used on Homeworld to construct architectural models or crude scaffolds.
Mineral Identification; again, a typical Crystal Sodalite power, Crystal can find or identify just about any deposit of solid mineral or stone, either visually (I hold this in my hand, I know what it is) or intuitively (I don't know where the granite is, but if I run my hands across the cave walls... there it is!)
Dreamwalking; like Steven Universe, Crys can enter the minds of gems and organic creatures alike, sometimes even getting stuck in their minds (think "the new lars"). This ability comes from the Creedite in her, and while it could be utilized in the future positively, right now, she is scared and ignorant about its true powers.
