[Theory] Amethyst was created for Blue Diamond's court

I was on tumblr this morning and saw this theory. I think its pretty interesting so I thought I would post it here.  Original Post

Long hair, plump lips, covered eyes. In retrospect, it’s pretty obvious whose army Amethyst was made for.

I find this interesting. What if certain gems were supposed to be for certain courts based on type, function and look? If Amethyst was supposed to be in Blue Diamond's court, what do you think her function is?

Bodyguard probably.

I wonder if she was supposed to be big like Rose Quartz and was suppose to be a soldier under a rose quartz or a leader

Anything military related. Or shall I say warrior related. She's a quartz so it's that kind of job she was made for.

Are all quartz soldiers though cause so far we know 2 kinds are but there are other kinds as well.

Yes. Peridot said that the reason why Amethyst is defective is due to the fact that she's tiny. She was supposed to be huuuuge. I think we had a glimpse as to what Amethyst was meant to look like in one of Pearl's holograms (more specifically in Sworn to the Sword).



Probably a "proper" Amethyst.

Had Amethyst been proper-sized, she would've been something like Jasper, so a bodyguard. Bodyguard for Blue Diamond.

I can definitely get behind this theory.

I actually believe that that big quartz gem is a multi-jasper fusion. It'd make sense since it's so huge and it must've been foreshadowing same-gem fusions! =o

Could be an Amethyst though, I'm really excited to see a buff one!

True - this gem could be either or! We will just have to wait and see

It may be cause I know that they do fuse for battles and such.

Yeah. But I guess we may wait until we know more about gem war
