[Theory & Debate] Who is Centipeedle?

Ok so, seriously, who is she?





Some people think she is Emerald based on the way this word looks.

We also know that the gems can read what she wrote and it's actually gem language. Typical. But will the next episode tell us who Centipeedle is based on what Pearl said Centipeedle wrote for them? She said it's fairly legible. Alone at Sea is the next episode that follows and while it's great to be getting another Lapis ep and one with Jasper again, I want to know more about Centipeedle. They left us hanging to guess who she could be.

She was a captain of some kind. She was part of the gem colonization. She was affected by the blast (Lapis could've been too if it wasn't for the mirror).

This also brings us to, WHAT WAS THAT EXPLOSION??? There are theories now saying this was the death of Pink Diamond. Which makes sense and I suppose Centipeedle would know it was the death of Pink Diamond (or the attempt of?) because she didn't see pink involved in the blast. But wtf was that blast and how could it corrupt minds? But that's something for another discussion which I will be making a thread for!

So, who do you think Centipeedle is?

I think Emerald is a fair guess. God I can't even imagine the mental trauma that poor thing has been through. But I'm glad she found her crewmates, or at least some of them. Letting them stay in their ship I think was a very good idea on the Gems part because now they don't have to worry about her causing trouble, and if they figure out a way to help them they know where to find them.

I also noticed that when she drew the Diamond symbols, she used black instead of their respective colors. I think this was deliberate on the Crews part so show just how much she hates them, for good reason obviously. I think we can say without a doubt that if Centipeedle and her crew ever get healed and things escalate into a fight between the CGs and Homeworld again, Centipeedle and her crew would be on the CGs side.

Also, the person Centipeedle was taking orders from was yellow, so it's possible she was under Yellow Diamond's command? Maybe not directly but through her chain of command.

Someone has also suggested Centipeedle is Maw Sit Sit (Gurgle click click).

I am on board with the idea of Maw Sit Sit. I'd never heard of it before until yesterday but I think it works really well with us getting to hear "Gurgle Click Click". Plus the colors are perfect, too <3

The word that Centi writes does make me think of Emerald, but I think that's gotta be a red herring xD I could see the creators wanting us to think one thing and go with an entire other option. Plus, even if it makes a person think of the English word "Emerald", it's still an entirely foreign language and writing system, so it could be literally anything there xD

But then again, maybe it is supposed to be as simple as Emerald xD Who knows haha I must know more, I love this little bug
