| So I'm assuming this episode was leaked? I'm not sure but it's out! This was a funny episode! Honestly every Peridot episode is funny XD The monster they fought reminded me of Road Runner Steven makes a lot of good points in this episode. One of them being "Corrupted gems aren't stupid, they just think a little differently." This is such a good lesson in regards to those with mental handicaps and how calling them stupid is harmful. Also, Garnet using her future vision to see what shenanigans Peridot and Steven would get into and sticking around to watch it all Peridot can bubble things! Whooohoo!! It's interesting that it went to the Barn instead of the temple. It makes sense what Steven said, about the Gems going home. For Steven and the CGs, home is the Temple. It's where they feel safe. For Peridot that's the barn. That's her safe haven. So it would make sense that the gem would wind up there. |

| This episode must have been paying homage to Road Runner. Peridot mimicing the corrupted gem and that strategy WORKING was priceless. So cute! |

| You know, for the amount of times Peridot was getting smashed, I was REALLY hoping that they were gonna reform her in this episode with a star (or two). But alas, they were not ready to do so because Steven was like "You don't poof easily, do you?". It was a good introduction episode to Peridot being a Crystal Gem and needing to bubble corrupted gems. I am glad she can make a bubble! But I am also surprised that her bubble wasn't like, yellow? I guess because when the other Crystal Gems bubble, the bubble is pink, which I thought was a nod to either Rose or Pink Diamond. Instead, Peridot's bubbles are green and her own. And yes, the bubble did go to the barn, Peridot's home/safe place rather than the Temple. Which, I thought was cute. Overall a cute episode indeed congrats to Peridot for spreading her Crystal Gem wings! I'm a lil bummed that we didn't get a new intro though XD |

| I was hoping for a new intro too! But these recent episodes have been so good, I feel like I'm being a little greedy, haha. |

| This was a very funny episode. I give it a solid 9/10. The Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote slapstick was the best part; it's something I wish more modern cartoons did. And I'll be honest: I loved seeing Peridot get smashed as part of that slapstick. It just made me laugh.
The bits where she mimicked the monster itself were slightly less entertaining, but that's just a personal preference. I have a very dark sense of humor, and slapstick/cartoon violence always puts a smile on my face. That scene wasn't bad by any means, but I just found it a point less funny than Peridot getting smashed.
The art style in some scenes (Paul Villeco's, I think) threw me off. It's mostly the eyes. I don't hate the art style, but it's just a little weird thing that tends to mess with me a wee bit.
Once again, a good 9/10. |
